Platform for learning German and adapting to life in Germany
Why we exist
Berlingvo is built for people who have moved to Germany or are getting ready to. Migrants, students, professionals — people who need German not “someday” but right now: for work, study, the doctor, the tax office, the neighbours. We help you learn the language at A1–B2 level without unnecessary effort.
At its core are spaced repetition (the SM-2 algorithm), several training modes and gamification that motivates rather than pressures. No dark patterns: no forced notifications, no artificial barriers, no ads.
The platform is in open beta. Everything is free. We keep improving it and welcome your feedback.
What already works

Smart cards (SRS)
Spaced repetition with the SM-2 algorithm. Cards reappear right when you've almost forgotten them.
Training modes
Quiz, sentence building, missing letters, gap fill — different formats keep you focused.
Gamification
XP, day streaks, levels and daily goals. Progress is visible — learning is more enjoyable.
Study Groups
Create groups, share materials and track members' progress — for teachers and self-organized teams.
Materials library
Public decks, lessons, tests, courses — ready-made materials for various topics and levels.
AI features
Card generation by topic or from your own word list, AI hints during training and help creating materials.

Berlingvo is a personal project that grew out of my own experience of settling into life in Germany. I learned the language myself, saw that standard tools do not cover migrants' practical needs, and built what was missing. The platform is alive and keeps evolving.
